Two-bar Drop D sketches, not finished guitar audio. MIDI validity does not establish target-DAW or Cinderhall import compatibility. Local storage is browser-specific; export to keep your work.

Style points reward the spice on top: off-beat hits, gallops, the dark ♭2 and ♭5, mixing chugs with ringing accents, a wide pitch range, and a busy turnaround at the end.
One challenge a day. Everyone gets the same rules on the same date: a meter, a tempo and two or three constraints such as “three notes only”, “the ♭2 must appear” or “nothing on beat 1”. Constraints push you out of your habits; that's where new riffs come from.
Lock it in once every rule is met (three notes or more) to keep the riff and extend your streak. Re-locking today replaces today's riff. Practice gives extra challenges that never touch the streak. Give me a start drops in a rough riff that already meets the rules, for days you're stuck; make it yours from there.
Drop D, notes on the low strings. Kept riffs export as **MIDI** for your DAW, and the whole shelf (with your streak) exports as JSON. Everything lives in this browser on this machine: no account, no network.
Riff of the Day is a free tool from Cinderhall, the Road Worn plugin workshop. Fonts: Big Shoulders Display and Familjen Grotesk (SIL Open Font License 1.1, texts in the fonts folder). The band you hear is a synthesised sketch; your riff through your amp is the real test.
